My Husband The Mechanic

Well Braden did it! With the help of his dad that is. They got our truck back on the road! And in pretty good time too. It would have been done faster but they couldn't find the right size pressure plate. Then they couldn't find anybody locally to turn the fly wheel. So Braden's Dad took it to one of his guys in Salt Lake. They also welded the control arm back together and put it back on. They did an awesome job, better than new, the clutch is so smooth and easy to push. Braden may have to switch me cars now. I love driving standards, and now that the clutch is so easy to push its like driving a car. Love it!

YUM

I have been feeding Joye things here and there off my plate, so today we bought her some baby food. We gave her some prunes (she's a little backed up :) ) I didn't think she'd like them, considering when I open the container I gagged. She she loved them, she ate half of the container. Alek saw that I was feeding her and he wanted some so I gave him a little bit, he ate it and thought for a minute and then got a happy face on and said "Mmm, I like it" Jaxon heard him and came running inside screaming " I want some I want some" so I gave him some. You would have thought I was trying to poison the kid, he coughed and tried to spit. He said "Ewww, thats gross mom!" I laughed, then Alek said "Mom, can I have some more." Well I would have to agree with Jaxon I thing prunes are gross too. Well Joye enjoyed them and thats all that matters.

FINALLY!

I didn't think we would ever do it, but we finally got Alek potty trained!!! We have two big boys, and they are so proud. We tried everything with Alek but nothing would work. Someone told me that when they have an accident give them a cold shower, so we tried it. Alek hated them, we can hardly get him in the tub to take a bath now. We finally just put him in underwear and told him not to go in them and that worked. YAY!! So we went to the store today and bought both boys new unders. They were so excited. But I don't think anyone is as excited as me.

Halloween!

I took the kids down to my brother Cory's house on Halloween, we ate soup and then went Trick-or-Treating. The boys had so much fun. Alek was nervous when we first got going and needed help going to the doors. Then he got into it, until it got dark. One of my brothers neighbors was wearing a scary mask and Alek freaked. He wanted to go home right then, and he wanted to be carried the whole way. Debbie carried him for a few houses then he talked himself into not being scared and had fun again for the last couple houses.

Here's the kids!

Brooke was Dorothy
Toto
Cory was the Scarecrow... If he only had a brain

Debbie was the wicked witch. I hope she doesn't kill me for posting this picture.

Halloween Party

Jaxon and Alek had a Halloween party at dance. They played games and ate yummy food. Alek was afraid of all the masks there. Jaxon loves dance and everything about it and Alek goes just to go. Alek always says he wants to then he gets there and is so bored. We'll probably keep Alek in until he is old enough to go into wrestling. He is a natural.

Almost There

Braden had another meeting in Salt Lake on Thursday. This time he met with a Detective, who had called his references and his former employers. They talked about stuff that she had found out and things that the other tests had said. At the end of the meeting she told Braden that he had made the top 40! YAY There are around 30 openings on the force. So hopefully he is one of the lucky 30! I can't wait til this process is over, it has taken forever, and it is so stressful. I've been so stressed, I can't even imagine what Braden has been going through.
