Jairon's Mission Call

Jairon got his mission call last night! So we all headed up to watch him open it! It was so exciting. He was so nervous when he was opening it. When he finally got it open he read "...You have been called to serve in the Oakland, California Mission!" He will leave September 30 for the MTC. That's so close! We are all so proud of Jairon and his decisions and can't wait for all the stories from California! We will miss him so much! I forgot my camera again so it's a phone picture :(

Our Weekend Get-Away

This weekend Braden and I got to get away and go to St. George to see Katelyn! We had so much fun! We missed the kids but it was good to go with just the 2 of us. They had plenty of fun without us at Grandma and Grandpa Anderson's.

We have arrived... And boy are we excited!
When we first got there we had to hurry and go get Katelyn, because we had tickets to see Footloose at Tuacahn. We had so much fun. The whole 2nd half of the show the bats came out to say hello. They didn't bother anybody, but they sure liked to fly through the lights. Thayne from the last season of So You Think You Can Dance was Ren in Footloose! He was so good! After the show he was out front so me and Katelyn got to meet him and get a picture with him! We were like 12 year old girls. We left our camera in the truck so we only got a picture with my phone so it's not the best.
Then on Friday we got up and went and saw Harry Potter. I wasn't excited, because I hated the book, but it turned out really good! It was intense! Then later that night we went to...We played mini golf. And during the back 9 we got a firework show! Then we went inside and played in the arcade. I could have stayed all night playing ski-ball. Braden was the King of the Arcade. We got lots of prizes! It was so fun just to be kids again, and get the stupid toys.
Here's Me and Katelyn with our winnings.
We got googly eyes, vampire teeth and those squishy things. Braden got a hackey sack and a squishy thing.
On Saturday we stayed at the hotel and played in the swimming pool. We took our squishy things from fiesta fun and played keep away. It was awesome. It takes a little getting used to throwing and catching those things. They float but it takes a while for them to get to the surface, so when you are fighting for them they get lost. After we got showered we went up by the airport to take pictures of the city. A storm was brewing, so it was really windy, but we got some good pictures. Then later that night we went bowling. And I don't know if it was the St. George weather or if it's because I don't have my nails anymore, but I bowled the best game of my life!
I told you it was really windy!
Whoo! 147!On Sunday we went and saw the temple and went up by the airport again to take some more pictures

Last Weekend

One picture sums it up! This is how everybody felt!
This last weekend we went with Braden's family to the Brigham Pool to celebrate Jairon getting his Eagle. Congrats Jair! We had tons of fun and sun. We all walked away sun burnt. Since we were in the pool we didn't get the camera out, but when Joye fell asleep in her float we had to grab the camera. Then on Sunday we went to Braden's family's ward because Jairon became an Elder! We went back to the house and ate dinner and played games all night! Joye fell asleep around 6 or 7 and slept until 11:30. I thought we would be up all night with her. We drove home, put her in bed and she slept until 10:00 the next morning! I couldn't believe it.

A Joye Update

Well Joye is officially a walker! It took her a while to decide that walking is an okay thing. The only time she crawls now is when she is playing with her cars, making them drive on the floor. She must really be mine she hates shoes. I couldn't get her to wear shoes all weekend while we were camping. She also has 4 teeth now. She just barely got her 2 top middle teeth. She loves to talk. She babbles all day. She talks a lot when she first wakes up, I tell the boys she is telling us about her dreams.

Anderson Reunion/ Smith Get-Together

This last weekend we had the Anderson Reunion. We were in charge this year so we went up to my Grandma's property in South Weber. We had tons of fun, hopefully everyone else did too. We missed Erick and Leslie and Chris and Staci.
This is where Joye spent her weekend. Sitting and standing in the camp chairs. She only tipped over a few times. As you can tell by her face, she is a happy camper!

After the Anderson's left my family came up to have an overnighter. Before they came we had a few hours to ourselves. We went on a family boat ride.
Joye had a great time!

Shelby even got in on the action.

Alek with Shelby. He carried him around like a baby for a good half an hour singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" to him.
There was this really cool orange dragonfly. It was way weird.
A big long water snake.

Our 4th of July

So this is a little late, I've been so busy. On the 4th we went with Bruce and my brother Ricky and his family up to Riverside for their parade and fireworks. The kids got a ton of candy for how short the parade was. Between the parade and the fireworks we went back to Bruce's and had a BBQ. We did some fireworks there then went to the big fireworks. We had a fun 4th.
