Happy Birthday Jaxon!!!

No more three together. It's Jaxon's birthday today, and he is so excited. I think he's partly excited, because now it's his turn to tease Alek and not let him play with his new toys. Alek is having a hard time, but he's just not as vocal as Jaxon was. Jaxon loves his picture taken, every time the camera is out, he's yelling at me to take his picture, then he gets his big cheese on. He also loves to take pictures, and he's pretty good at it. Since I got my new camera for Christmas, he has taken over my old one. He loves it. He got Geo Trax from Santa and instead of loving the actual toy, he has gotten attached to the instructions. Don't ask why, cause we can't figure it out. He even sleeps with them. They have been ripped a million time and we just keep taping them up, because he just cries until we do. They have all the different accessories on them and he goes up to everyone and asks them which one they like. He's so funny. He is growing so fast I can't believe it. I swear I can't keep clothes and shoes in the house that fit him.

Christmas!

We had an awesome Christmas. On Christmas Eve instead of getting PJ's, I decided that we would have a slightly different tradition. I got us all Cabela's Camo hoodies. I kept them totally a secret from everybody so when Braden and the kids opened them they were all surprised. The first thing that Alek said was, "I want to go hunting ducks, down at the Bear River." Braden couldn't have been prouder. On Christmas morning Jaxon woke up first and tried to shake Alek awake. He didn't care that Santa had come, he just wanted to sleep longer. Santa brought everybody what they wanted! We're so lucky! We must have been really good.

So we wouldn't have fighting, Santa was smart and brought Jaxon and Alek the same things. They both wanted Geo Trax and that's what they got. Alek got the Airport, and Jaxon got the Train Station. Then they each got either a plane or a train, depending on which big set they got. They also got a Thomas the Train art set, some binoculars, a flashlight and a compass so they can go hunting with Daddy. And they each got a movie.
Jaxon was so excited about everything he opened. I thought he was going to shake everything off our tree, because he was jumping so much.
Joye got some toys. She got some dolls (YAY), a ball that rolls by itself and lights up, a stacker set that has a tambourine and a maraca, and an Elmo that when you shake it, it talks and laughs.
I got a new camera!!!!! I must have been really good, and Santa loves me! I also got games, I'm a gamer. And I got the 3rd season of Bones. It's my favorite show.
Santa brought Braden Rock Band with two other discs with extra songs on them, a big rolling tool chest, and some books.
Mmm... Candy Cane... P.S. Jaxon took this picture. Pretty good huh.
Here's Daddy to the rescue, putting together the Geo Trax!

Christmas Fun!

We had lots of fun over Christmas. We were so busy. Lots of Christmas parties. Our 1st party was the Johnson party. My Grandma Johnson's birthday is on the 23rd so our Christmas party is also a Birthday party. We went to my Aunt's apartment building and had our party we ate dinner and visited.
Us and Grandma Johnson
The next party was the Anderson Party. We went to Sherin's house and ate dinner and PIE. The kids played Bingo and got fun prizes. We came home with guns and tractors! They also did a white elephant exchange and did a craft. Santa even came for the kids to have one last chance to get in their requests. Alek was terrified yet again. Erick and Leslie were in town for Christmas. It was really great to see them, they've been gone along time.

Craft time!
Then on Christmas Eve we went to my brother Rusty's house for my family's party. We draw names for present exchange, and this year everything we gave had to be homemade. Which was hard for us, because we're not very creative. But we figured it out. I etched plates and made candy for mine and Braden's people and we made hemp necklaces and bracelets for the three girls the kids had.
Joye got a pink scarf. She loved it!

Jaxon and Alek got pillows

I had to post this picture. I laughed so hard when I saw it. Joye is raising her one eyebrow. Rusty and Becky had this snowman decoration that would open up its belly and inside were little snowmen skating around. The kids loved it, they made Rusty do it for them a million times. They all layed on their belly's and watched. On Christmas after we had opened presents and played for a while, we packed up and went to Braden's Grandma and Grandpa Fesslers. We saw lots of family, and had yummy food. We had a great holiday.

Like Mother Like Daughter

Joye is a Blogger! She must be like me and can't get enough of the computer. When ever it is on the floor she is attacking it. She puts her hand on the keys and pushes all of them, and clicks the mouse. One day I was on the computer and she decided that I needed some help and she pushed something, and it took me the rest of the day to get the computer back to normal. And another time she messed with the Task Bar at the bottom and took a bunch of icons off, I knew how to get them back but the computer was blocking them for some reason and it took a week of messing with it to figure it out. I took this picture too late, before I got my camera, she would talk to the computer then hit some keys, then yell at it, hit some more keys it was so funny. So I grabbed my camera, and of course, she stopped. But I had to get a picture of my little blogger.

Alek's Progress

Well it was time to take Alek's stitches out, and Braden did it. Alek was a little nervous, but we told him it wasn't going to hurt and then he was fine. He just layed on Braden's lap until they were out. Ever since Alek fell he hasn't been as shy. He has been talking to everybody. So I guess the fall had at least one advantage.

Family Fun

Since the boys love trains so much, we decided to take them on the frontrunner. We took the frontrunner down to Salt Lake, then rode trax to The Gateway and went and saw Madagascar 2. The boys had a blast. We told them the day before that we were going to go and that's all Alek could talk about. Which was weird, cause I thought it would be Jaxon talking about it. We went to the frontrunner station and bought our tickets. The kids were free so we gave them the receipts so they could have a ticket. They were so excited. The boys thought that we were going to watch Madagascar on the train so the whole way down they were asking when it was going to get dark so we could watch the movie. Joye was a stink during the movie so I didn't see much of it, but the boys were glued. When we went to catch the frontrunner back we had to wait for 30 minutes for the next train, it was so cold! The boys kept warm by running around but I pretty much froze.

Crazy Sleepers

Well I figured out why Jaxon has a rail on his top bunk. We put the boys in bed and I went to check on them a little while later, and they were both flipped upside down in their beds. Jaxon had his arm and leg through the rails of his bed. Joye is right there with them, too. She is a wild sleeper, I have to dress her warm for bed because she doesn't stay in the covers very long.

The Light Parade

Saturday was the Garland Light Parade. We went with Mark and Sherin and their girls. It was fun, but so so cold. We were all bundled up. After the parade they did fireworks, and then the kids got to see Santa! We were first in line. While we were waiting for Santa to come you could hear the fireworks booming outside. Sherin said to the kids, "Listen I can hear Santa's reindeer on the roof." The Sara, Rylee, and Jaxon listened close and got a little excited, but Alek just looked at us and said, "HA, Those are fireworks." So Sherin tried again and Alek wasn't having that. He knew they were fireworks. He is so funny. Sara and Jaxon walked right up to Santa, Rylee was a little nervous, but Alek cried. After we got home, Alek walked up to Braden and said, "Daddy, Santa is mad at me." Braden asked him why and Alek said, "Oh he just is right now." and then he walked away.

Alek's Scare

We took the boys down to dance today and we were there a little early and the door was locked, I waited in the car and Braden was playing and running around with the boys. Next thing I know Braden is running toward the truck saying he needs his first aid kit. I look at Alek and he is covered in blood. They were running and he slipped on some loose gravel and fell on a cement slab that was part of the foundation. He gashed his right eye pretty much right through his eyebrow. It was about 2 inches long, a half of inch wide, and 3/4 of an inch deep. We ran him up to Ogden Regional and got him some stitches. They drugged him up, so they could do the stitches and have him hold still. He was loopy for a while, which was kind of funny. Because they drugged him, they put him on oxygen and a bunch of monitors. Which he didn't like, he wanted them off the whole time. They put about 15 dissolvable stitches in the under layer of tissue then about 10 on the top layer. Alek was so tough he cried for a minute when it happened and then he cried when they gave him the shot of medicine, and once after he woke up, and that's all. Braden told him that if he was brave and didn't cry he would buy him a toy. Any toy he wanted, Alek decided that he wanted a green motorcycle. After he woke up the first coherent thing he said was, "Where's my green motorcycle?" We told him after we left the hospital we'd get it. The Nurse said that because he was so big and brave that he could have a stuffed animal. He took it, but he wouldn't say thank you. When the nurse left he started to cry, his third time crying, and said, "I don't want this, I just want my green motorcycle!" All of his monitors went crazy, and started beeping his heart rate shot up. He really wanted a green motorcycle. After we calmed him down, and told him that he got the stuffed animal AND the motorcycle, he loved the stuffed animal and wouldn't let it go. He must be our accident prone child, at the first of this year we took him into the hospital to get staples in his head because he fell on a nail. The funny thing is, is that we were in the same room in the ER as last time. Room 8.

Here it is
Here is our brave Alek, hooked up to all the machines, doped up.

Here is the after shot with his stitches. He looks like a boxer, his eye is all swollen and puffy.
