Happy Birthday Braden!

It's Braden's birthday today. He's 23! We love Braden so much. He is such a great husband and daddy. We got up this morning and made him breakfast in bed. The boys were so excited to help and wake him up. We woke him up nice today. He usually gets wrestled awake. Like this picture. Braden is starting school on Monday, for diesel mechanics. He's really excited. We are all so proud of him. The boys love to be with daddy. Whatever he is doing they have to be right there. They have been helping a lot on the basement. I don't know if Braden thinks its help, but I sure do. It gets them out of my hair :) Braden loves to play with the kids. Joye likes him more than me actually. She will cuddle with Braden, and for you that have held her knows that she doesn't cuddle. I was holding her last night and she cried and tried to crawl off the couch with her arms outstretched to Braden. What a daddy's girl.

WE LOVE YOU DADDY!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

My Batmen!

We went to the store today, and the boys found some Batman pajamas that they begged us for. So we gave in a got them. They are so cute they even have capes on the back. We got home and they put them on. Jaxon kept walking around with his hands on his hips, and they were both yelling "Batman to the rescue!!" So I grabbed the camera.

What strong muscles!

I had to post this because it was funny. I was taking pictures and since they kept putting their hands on their hips, we told them to put them there for a picture. Jaxon went right there, but Alek got confused and kept putting his hands on his head.

Since the boys got new jamies, Joye needed some too. I got her my favorite, Ariel!!

After a while the boys would scream "Batman to the rescue!" and then do a handstand.

Braden got in on the action. He starts in a head stand then pushes up into a handstand!
Alek wanted me to take a picture of his back bends. He is so flexible. When he first started doing his back bends he would walk his hands so far in that they would almost touch his feet. I had to teach him to keep them farther apart so he could push his head off. I wish I was flexible like him.

Birthday Parties

In my family we get together once a month, and celebrate the birthday's for that month. This month it's just me and Braden. We had the party at our house this month and the family came up. My sister-in-law Debbie makes the best cakes. So she is in charge of the cake pretty much every time. Here's the cake for me and Braden. Awesome huh!

I just had to post this picture. My niece Lexie was holding Joye and she fell asleep. It was so cute. When I put the picture on the computer I couldn't believe how big Joye looked. She is getting so big and long.

Cake Fun

Braden was having some of my birthday cake last night and decided to wipe a little on my cheek, Jaxon walked in and got some too. Braden said that he had won. I couldn't have that so I went and got a pretty big piece and walked calmly up to him, he had no idea what was going on. I reached up and smashed it in his face. He had to get me back, but before he did he got Joye and Alek with it, then hit me the hardest. It was caked in my eyelashes, and all over in the ends of my hair.

After our fight was over we were washing it off our faces, and we couldn't find Jaxon. He was in the living room on his hands and knees, eating the cake off the floor. That's my Jaxon.
It was all over us and the floor. It was fun. So it was worth it!

My Birthday

Yesterday was my 23rd birthday and it was awesome. After everybody woke up we were all laying on my bed and my three boys gave me a back rub! Then later in the day Braden took the boys to pick out birthday presents for me and Joye took a nap, so I got to relax and watch a movie. It was nice. Braden's family came to visit, then I got my presents from Braden and the boys. Jaxon got me a game, and Alek was set on getting me a basket with lotion and body wash in it. Braden said that it was all his idea, and that he was so thoughtful when he was picking it out. And Braden got me decorations for our movie room when our basement is finished. Jaxon picked out my cake, chocolate with chocolate frosting. He knows his momma! Then after all the kids were in bed me and Braden played games, my favorite!!
These are the decorations they are so cool. The first one is the marker, it's magnetized and you can write on it with dry erase markers and the second is a clock, it's a movie reel and the film ticks with the seconds.

So Proud

We are so proud of Alek! He is so shy that he won't talk to anybody he doesn't know. 2 weeks ago in primary Alek had the prayer in primary, I ended up saying it, because he was so scared. Then this week he was assigned the talk. I came home and told Braden that I had the talk in primary. Well I prepared it, and practiced with him. His talk was I Came To Earth As Part Of A Family. He said that when he was born he had his mom, dad, and Jaxon. Then his Momma Tina had to go meet Jesus. Then his daddy met me and I became his mom, then Baby Joye came along. He kept telling me that he was going to do it and talk into the microphone. So at the end of Sacrament, he told me that he didn't want to talk in the mic. I convinced him that he could do it. He was so nervous sitting up there in the front, he went last and he got up and did it! I was so amazed when he started repeating into the mic. He was so brave, he talked loud into the mic and said everything. He even said a line all by himself, before I told him. The line was about his Momma Tina. He knew exactly where she is. Me and Braden must be doing our job by keeping Tina in our lives and our home. Alek the other day came up to us and out of nowhere said, "Momma Tina is my friend, huh"

Close Call

We're finishing our basement and Braden has been working hard. Last night I was downstairs talking to Braden and I told him to be careful not to cut his fingers off with his saw. I was sort of joking, but I guess I should have stressed it a little more. Braden was working today, at home by himself. The blade was dull on the saw and didn't cut the board completely, kicked the board back and hit his thumb and pushed it into the saw blade. It didn't cut his thumb off (thank goodness) and he was wearing gloves so it took some of the blow. But it did do some damage. It cut off the very tip (just skin) and took off most of his nail. It bled a ton, he got blood on the walls, all down the fridge, everywhere. Since Braden was home by himself, he had to doctor himself. He got the tweezers grabbed his nail, put the tweezers in his mouth to hold them steady, while he took some scissors in his other hand to cut off the broken part of his nail. He even took pictures of it by himself, so I could put them on the blog.

Before he cut the nail off.

After he cut his nail off. That's not a pool of blood that's his skin. If you have the stomach look close and you can see how textured it is, how bad the saw cut it up.

Our house would be pretty boring if we didn't have the accident prone to keep us on our toes. Its a good thing I have a hard stomach!

Not So "Joyeful"

Joye has been such a momma's girl lately it's been driving everyone crazy. For the last week she would sit in her walker or play on the floor, and she would be fine if she was in the same room as me. But as soon as she would see me get up to walk away she would throw a fit. But now for the last few days I've had to be holding her. I can't get anything done and if I do she is either sleeping or screaming. Holding her wouldn't be so bad if she would just sit there and cuddle or something, but she tries to climb up onto my head and then she sinks her claws into my face and neck. It's great fun. Hopefully she'll get out of this stage quick.

Meant To Be

Well there has been lots of things over the past year and a half that has made us believe that me and Braden were supposed to be together and we have just found one more. Alek has started wearing some sunglasses that have both of the lens popped out of them. I had orange and green glasses with no lens, when I was little that I wore everywhere. My brother, Ricky, has video at one of his track meets with me wearing them. So here we are. Aren't we styling?!

Too Funny

Joye has done some funny things the past few weeks and I wanted to share. One day we went shopping at Sam's and we had all of our boxes on the floor so I could put them away. Joye 'swam' over to them and started to climb up on them. The next time I looked over she was on top of the box high centered! She was just moving her arms and legs trying to go some where but nothing worked. I thought that she would move and roll off the side, Nope. She just layed there on her belly.
One morning it was just me and Joye awake, I had fed her and changed her diaper, then put her on the floor to play. She 'swam' around the room getting into anything I'd let her. She went over to the door and played and on her way back she found the heat register. She was in one of her screaming/ blabbing moods and she put her face onto the register and screamed. She heard the echo, her head snaps up and she looks around like what was that. So she screamed again while her head was up and she didn't hear the echo so she got this confused look on her face. She figured she'd try something different and she put her face back on the register and yelled; Echo again, head snapped and she was looking around. She figured out that when her head was up she couldn't hear herself echo, but when her head was on the vent she could. This kept both of us entertained for a long time.
