Our Trip to the Hogle Zoo!

We decided to go to the Zoo yesterday. Braden's dad went with us, and boy was I happy he did! We took the Frontrunner down. We figured if trax didn't go all the way up that a bus would. So when we got off the frontrunner we asked a guy what we should do to get there. He told us to ride up to the stadium on trax and then catch a bus that would take us up. The guy couldn't remember what bus number it was so he told us to ask the bus driver. So the bus came and we asked the driver which bus would take us up to Hogle Zoo. He said none of them that they stopped the bus that went up there, and that his is the one that would get us the closest. So we believed him and jumped on. We had to walk UP HILL 1/2 mile to get to the zoo. As we were walking a bus passed us and went right up to the zoo. LIAR! I was so mad at him. I hate walking, but walking up hill...COME ON!!! Well we finally made it and had so much fun at the zoo. Then it was closing time and we called the UTA to see when the bus would be there and we missed it by 2 minutes. So we walked about 3 miles from the zoo back to the stadium. At least it was down hill this time. Braden's dad helped push strollers and carry strollers on and off the trax and frontrunner. While we were walking we figured out why we were. There was a boy like 11 years old that came up, behind us, riding his scooter. He was almost in tears. He and his friends were riding to trax to go down to Gateway to watch a movie... he was too slow so his friends left him! And he didn't know how to get to trax. So we told him we were going to the Gateway too and he could go with us. He was so polite. But we decided that we were supposed to be walking so we could help him.

Jaxon's favorite part of the zoo was this Black Bear. He wasn't anything special all he did was walk in and out of his cave.

Alek's favorite part of the zoo were these two Black Bears. He swears that one of them spanked the other one on his bum. He thinks its so funny.

This was my favorite part of the zoo. These are Golden Lion Tamarins. This is a momma Tamarin with her 1 month old babies on her back. Just like every new mother, she lost her hair.

Have you ever wondered how the Fessler Family would measure up to a Gorilla? Well wonder no more!
TA-DA!!!
Here are some more animals.
Capuchin monkeys taking a nap.
A red panda snoozing
This really cool bird has his eye on Braden.
We don't know what this is or how it got there, but it was in the trees where they keep all the birds. He was so cute sleeping on his back.
Giraffes!!
This giraffe took a really long time to sit down. It was so funny to watch.
This picture is cool...he is balancing on his front knees.
Almost there...
AHH...did it!
Elephants!
The one on the left is pregnant, and the one on the right is 49 years old. She is the oldest living African Elephant in North America. Fun Fact: Between the Elephants and the Rhinos they give the zoo 500 lbs of poop each day! Crazy!
We all know elephants are big. Here are the boys next to a femer of an Asian Elephant.
Welcome to Madagascar!
They had a little building devoted to the movie. It was fun.
THE FOOSA, THE FOOSA ARE ATTACKING!!!
We got to touch a turtle!
Did Grandpa Fessler have a good time at the zoo? You can be the judge of that!

Dance Recital

Our dance recital was on Monday and the boys were so excited to dance on the stage. At dress rehearsal, Jaxon was being weird and he didn't want to go out on stage. Alek on the other hand was more than willing. Which really surprised me with how shy Alek is I thought that he would be scared to death. Well at the recital his true self showed through and he wouldn't go out and dance. I only got him to go out for finale, because I walked out with him, holding his hand. But Jaxon thrives on a crowd! He wasn't scared at all, he went out and danced the best that I have ever seen. We were so proud of him. Both Braden and I were crying. This year our show was Disney movies. Jaxon and Alek danced to A Goofy Movie, and I danced to Pirates of the Caribbean.
This my other dance-Just Dance
ARRG!
Me and Monica got to sword fight. Then she chased me. It was so fun!

Happy Daddy's Day!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!! We love you so much! You are such a good Daddy!
I love the first picture with Joye and Braden. It shows how Braden is with his kids, he is always throwing them up in the air and spinning them around. Every present giving holiday, Braden always guesses what he is getting, so for Father's Day I was determined to keep it a secret, and do everything I could to keep him guessing. So about a month ago he told me he wanted a scope and GPS combo from Cabela's, so being the great wife I am, I went and got it. He kept asking me if I had got it, I would either tell him "Maybe I did, but then again, maybe I didn't." or I would act like I didn't even know what thing he was talking about. Then the boys wanted to get him some baseball stuff, so I went and found some stuff for him. We got him a T-shirt with his own number and name, a hat, some swimming trunks and a beach towel. All Braves of course. Well not 2 days after they were delivered, he got on the website for some reason, and started looking for stuff. He saw the swimming trunks and said how cool they were. Well it was bothering him not knowing what he was getting so he kept asking for clues. I told him that it was something that you can only find in the summer and he wears it. Well he calls me on his way home from school and says he's figured it out, that I got him that Braves swim suit. I about had a heart attack! So I said how would I have gotten that for you? You told me you wanted it after the last package was delivered. So I totally threw him off the trail. We gave him his Braves stuff a few days before and when we gave it to him he put on his trunks, his shirt and his hat and walked around the house all day in them. Apparently I did a good job shopping. Then we gave him his scope and GPS the day before Father's day since our Sunday was so busy. It wasn't wrapped so we made him sit on the couch and close his eyes. Jaxon thought that he would peek so he sat on his lap and covered Daddy's eyes. I thought Braden was going to cry when we let him open his eyes. He was totally surprised! I did it! I kept his presents a secret.

Meet Keenan and Calee Fessler

Last Friday, the 5th, Braden's brother Keenan got married. Then on Saturday they had their reception. They got married in the Logan Temple. They were sealed by the same sealer and in the same room as Braden and I were...That was pretty cool!! Jaxon, Alek and Joye love their new Aunt Calee, but I think that Alek loves her the most. Alek finds it necessary every other minute to say hi to Calee. It's so funny. Alek says "Aunt Calee, Aunt Calee, Aunt Calee" over and over and over until she hears him and she says, "What?" Then all he says is, "Hi Aunt Calee" Then he is good for another minute, and it starts all over again.
Here's the happy couple

Fessler Family Pictures!

A few weeks ago we went to the Layton Park and took Fessler Family pictures. It was fun to see some of the family that doesn't live close. I met a lot of them for the first time. There are 54 of us and we were all there! After pictures we went back to Grandma Fesslers and I have never seen the boys have as much fun as they did that night. We had to drag them drag them kicking and screaming to get them home.
