4th of July Weekend

On Friday and Saturday of our weekend, we just worked. Then on Sunday the 4th, our next door neighbors invited us over for fireworks. The boys had so much fun. Joye was asleep the entire time. Jaxon's leg was hurting after fireworks, so he went into bed. Alek just decided that he would sleep on the driveway. And dummy me, I didn't get a picture.

This is our neighbors little girl. This is where she spent most of her night, on my lap.
Then on Monday, Ricky and his kids came up and we went with Bruce to the Bear River to go fishing. It was a fun day.
Here is Joye, trying to go potty in the weeds. She only wanted to because all the other kids went.
Joye helping Daddy reel in his fish.
Joye played with the worms all day. She would switch them from one container to another, pick them up and hold them.
Raimee was the best fisherman or shall I say fisherwoman. She caught 6 fish. 4 Carp, and 2 Bass. She caught the biggest carp I have ever seen.
The huge fish, swallowed the hook and Ricky wanted it, so he cut it open. Joye was so interested. She squatted there the entire time, just watching everything that Uncle Ricky was doing.
While Ricky was cutting, some blood squirted Raimee, almost in her eye.
Here's Alek with his little fish, he was a little disappointed that he couldn't keep it.
Joye and Raimee, with one of Raimee's many fish.
After we went fishing we went to the Riverside Parade. Joye didn't like the sirens at the first.
After the parade we went to Bruce and Shirley's for dinner and to let the kids play. Mark and Sherin stopped by for a minute, Mark caught a baby bird, and Alek was brave enough to hold it.
Joye playing in the sand. No wonder she was so sandy. I love her face.
After dinner we went to the Riverside fireworks.

Here is one of the fireworks. We were really disappointed this year in their fireworks, but with the economy, what can you expect from a little town.

What a fun 4th of July. Lydia loves to tease Sierra with worms all the time. Joye would have fun in our garden looking for worms.
