Anderson Reunion

The weekend of the 24th was the Anderson Reunion. Joni was in charge this year, so we went to her house and set up tents in her backyard. It was so fun. There were lots of crafts for the kids and fun things to play with. We also went to a parade on the 24th and had fireworks that night it was such a fun weekend. We missed Erick, Leslie, Bryn, Kyler & Koby.

The first crafts we did were cups and bags. I didn't get a picture of the cups, they were cute though. The kids took their bags to the parade to keep their candy in.
Joye hard at work.
The boys taking a second to smile for the camera. Grandpa hard at work cooking his "secret recipe beans"

Jaxon and Rylee being friends.
Joye played most of the time by herself. She's really good like that, she can entertain herself. She was riding around on this little toy, and she figured out there was a little compartment in the front. She knew it was for dirt.

When she wasn't playing by herself, she was playing with Taylor. Shocking! They usually don't get along.
Getting ready to go to the parade with their new bags.
Walking to the parade. Joye and Taylor hand-in-hand.
The kids waiting anxiously for the parade.
Dallas driving the fire truck in the parade. He took Mark and 4 of the kids with him.
The water truck was the last one in the parade, soaking everyone behind it.
Joye eating parade candy off the front steps.
The dad's had more fun than the kids. The night before a bunch of us played horse and lightening. Then after the parade, the men played horse, granny shot style. It was so funny to watch. The men also played the Saltine game. They had to try to eat 6 Saltine's in one minute. Sounds easy but it's not.
Joye and Taylor being friends again.
Kyrie. This is one of the nicer faces I got from her this weekend. She only likes mom and dad.
Avery's favorite thing was to eat sidewalk chalk. Yum!
Uncle Dallas took the kids on a fire truck ride.
Joye was not having anything to do with that big truck.
After the fire truck rides, the kids decorated visors and t-shirts.
After all the fun over the 2 days Alek fell asleep on the couch while the other kids played Wii.
Joye was all tuckered out too.
After dinner Bruce & Shirley and Mark & Sherin headed home. The rest of the adults played games. Nerts was the game of choice, although Dallas said he couldn't remember the name so he changed it to something else. Lets just say it was a lot funner yelling out his title instead of Nerts ☺
After games we did fireworks. Joye is terrified, everyone else had a great time.
Thanks Dallas and Joni for the great weekend! And everybody else! We had a great time
